Today was a pretty lazy day for me, I spent most of the day watching a few Maya tutorials  and not doing much.

Today I finished UV mapping my character. I also started doing some animation tests for the Animation that I planned in my storyboard earlier this term. this is a quick idea of what you might see in my final animation. (the sword's animation was done real quick, sorry for the shit animation :P)

Character Model - 21/08/2015

The only reason I'm blogging is because I have nothing better to do atm :) since I'm finally done with presentation wohooooooo!!

 I still feel like I've been pretty lazy with my character design, should have probably done wings or some type of Mecha modelling to it and should have probably spent more time focusing on my modelling (instead of watching anime and playing games).

While waiting to do my Animation History Presentation, I decided to play with Maya adding a few textures and and trying to fix errors that I keep finding in my model argghhhh.

So I changed my character's T pose to an A pose today. I spent most of the day preparing my presentation tho. well here is my character's turntable, I don't know why there's a black shadow in my sword  \m/ arggghhhhhhhh!!!

Prop Model - 07/08/2015

OK, so I applied a Toon shader to my Katana to give it a more cartoonish style, I really like the way it looks with it. \m/ btw I didn't really work on my 3 point lighting because I'm lazy, so I'm sorry if the lighting is not up to your standards yet :P

Today I worked on my prop (Katana), added some extra textures and a few more details to it. this is the result so far.

Character Modeling - 5/08/2015

Today I've been working on the UVs of my character to see how the textures would react in it.
I unfolded my characters leg but when I applied my texture to it it looked a bit off place.





I managed to fix it by adjusting the UVs in the UV Texture editor. didn't take too long and now my character's leg is looking much better :).







Now the leg looks much better when the textured is applied to it. By the way, this is the back of leg.

today I decided to model the face(rough practice model tho) of my samurai and this is how it looks so far after 6 hours of modeling, talking and being lazy.






I also worked on my model last week?? took me about 4 hours to finish it, even tho it's still quite rough. Also did a quick basic Katana model.
